B.A.S.H boys self harm group

B.A.S.H. is the UK's first self help and peer support group set up for young men aged 13-19 who self harm.

As part of Red Nose Day 2009, BBC London News recently interviewed Daryl about his views on male self harm and the support he gets through B.A.S.H. and the WISH Centre

confidential environment for young men to creatively express their frustrations, inner thoughts, and feelings about themselves and the
world they live in and help them
find new ways of coping with their present day difficulties.

B.A.S.H. builds self esteem and tackle isolation through befriending, peer support and creative and other activities.

Criteria for Group Membership

• Male self harmers aged 13-19
• Able to travel to meetings in Harrow
• Needs to be ready for self help work and to support others
• Aware and in support of the thinking/idea behind the group
