"when Sport Relief rang up to see if I’d be interested in helping out, I jumped at the chance. My first job was to see the impact of Sport Relief funding in action with a trip to The Wish Centre in Harrow. There I met up with some members of a group called Girls Xpress for girls who self harm. Their stories were moving and I heard in them issues I had faced growing up. Sport gave me stability during that time and a supportive network of friends, both my age and adult. Girls Xpress provides that network to help the girls find different ways of dealing with their emotions."

We are so proud of Daryl who spoke to BBC London News about self harming and the support he gets from WISH in March 2009 as part of Red Nose Day.
